The Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering was established in the year 1996-1997, with an intake capacity of 40 students.
The Department has well established laboratories with latest equipments to cater the needs of the present day syllabus requirements.
The department has a team of well qualified and dedicated faculty members, who actively contribute towards imparting theoretical knowledge and practical skills to the students.
Today, Instrumentation and Control Engineering plays a vital role in the modern industries. So we aim at producing talented Instrumentation and Control specialists, who caters to the needs of the modern industry.
To emerge as a pioneer and technically competent platform emphasizing Instrumentation and Control Engineering with a focus on latest technologies and provides effective teaching and learning in order to meet the needs of industry and society at large.

PROCESS CONTROL INSTRUMENTATION LAB:
The laboratory is equipped with various Process Control Stations interfaced with computer running on LabView software. The students Implement and observe the response for various controller modes. The Final Control Elements like P to I Converter and I to P Converter Control Valves are available for studying their function and characteristics.
MEASUREMENT OF PROCESS VARIABLE LAB:
The laboratory is equipped with various sensors for study and measurement of Different process parameters. Also equipped with the Temperature and Pressure Transmitters to understand the measurement and conversion of process variable.
ANALOG AND DIGITAL ELECTRONICS LAB:
The laboratory has facility constructing and testing Analog and Digital circuits. The Lab equipped with sufficient Power Supplies, Signal Generator, CROs, Analog and Digital trainer kits for conducting various experiments.
MICROCONTROLLER LAB:
The laboratory is equipped with 8051 Microcontroller Trainer kits – 10 nos along with various interface boards to execute the assembly language programs. The students experiment by writing assembly language program for execution of simple mathematical problems and application circuits.
VIRTUAL INSTRUMENTATION LAB:
The I&CE Department computer centre is equipped with desktop computers 24 nos and Laser Printers 3 nos. The software used is LabView The. students are given practical exposure to develop Front Panel and block Diagram for the test instrument like Function Generator, CRO etc. They are able to Create VI programme for various mathematical applications.
INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION LAB:
The laboratory has Hydraulic and Pneumatic Control Stations interfaced with PLC for experimenting the operation of various cylinders. The laboratory is also equipped with AC and DC Motors, Transformers with Loading Test and Speed Control arrangements.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING LAB:
The laboratory is equipped with AC And DC machines with load testing arrangement and facilities to construct and test electrical circuits and theorems.
C PROGRAMMING LAB:
The I & CE Department computer centre is equipped with desktop computers 24 nos and Laser Printers 3 nos The Software used is Turbo C. The students write simple programs in C language to solve the mathematical problems related with electrical engineering.
